About the Instructor:
Born in Los Angeles and raised in the South, Cesar Pita maintains a productive studio practice in which he creates a mix of wheel thrown and sculptural ceramic work. This work revolves around cultural exploration, family history, and advocacy for his community. Finding a historical link between his family and clay is a key point that has led to a more intentional way of making. As a first generation college graduate, Cesar received a BFA from Middle Tennessee State University. He has gone on to assist multiple artists in Nashville while also working as an art handler.
